Actor Ranbir Kapoor’s 1st short film name Karma,

direct by Abhay Chopra, is the famous B. R. Chopra will shown on the Bandra Film Festival YouTube channel on 5- May 2021.

The 26-minute short film will screen under the category “A Point Across”.

The movie revolves on every side the extreme penalty in India and is about a jailer,

who has to face the dilemma of hanging his own son.

Movie also nominate for a Student Oscar. Excepting Ranbir, the movie has a grand cast.

Sharat Saxena of Ghulam, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Badshah fame, play the lead role / role of the jailer.

Milind Joshi & Sushovan Banerjee have other important roles.

Recalling memories of the film & working with Ranbir Kapoor, director Abhay Chopra said, ‘The year I made this film,

the capital punishment was part of every prime time debate and work-out scores of opinion pieces and cover stories.

India spot the hanging of Dhananjay Chatterjee for the rape and murder of Hetal Parekh that fueled these controversies.

Karma is fictional but heavily inspire by reality.

If you look carefully, the death penalty debate in the Dhananjay case is not over,

every crime that gets national media attention almost always raises the subject.

I’ve fond remembrance of directing Ranbir Kapoor, he hadn’t even start his career, such a spontaneous actor.

The acting really moves through his veins.

Sharat Saxena has done an unprecedent job in the film & has such a powerful screen presence.

Moreover, I am glad that I can tell this story and it is getting an extend audience at the Bandra Film Festival.

In addition to Karma, the category also includes two more great films.
