VJ Chitra Popular Tamil TV actress Commits Suicide, at five-star hotel in Tamil Nadu
VJ Chitra, a 28 year old popular TV actress,
allegedly killed herself in a hotel in Nazarathpet on the outskirts of the city in the early hours of Wednesday.
She known for her lead role in the serial Pandian Stores aired in Vijay TV.
Police said they questioning her fiancé Hemnath Ravi, who had allegedly gone to meet her at the hotel.
Police says Chitra staying at the hotel with her business fiancée, with whom she had engage four months earlier.
Nazarathpet police, that Chitra busy shooting a serial at EVP Film City in Nazarathpet,
and return to hotel room number 113 at around 1.30 am.
Hemnath quote the police saying that she had inform him that she would go for a bath,
and Hemnath went out of the room.
Hemnath told the police that he repeatedly knock on the door after not receiving any reply for a long time,
after which he inform the hotel staff.
One of the hotel employees, Ganesh accompany him to the room to find Chitra dead.
Hotel officials called the control room and the Nazarethpet police team reach the hotel.
They sent her body to Kilpauk Medical College & Hospital for postmortem.
Police said Chitra lived with her parents in Thiruvanmiyur,
but she often stay at the hotel as it convenient for her for the shooting and also to meet her fiancée.
Chitra started her career as an anchor at Makkal TV in 2013 & went on to work in Jaya TV and Zee Tamil.
She made a hit at Pandian Stores, which debut in 2018, following his rise to fame as a character named Mullai.
