OnePlus Watch Won’t Run Google’s Wear OS, Design Revealed
OnePlus Watch – Company introduce its 1st wearable dub OnePlus band in January,
and it will unveil its 1st smartwatch with the OnePlus 9 series on 23rd March.
The company’s CEO, Mr. Pete Lau, confirms that the watch is say the OnePlus Watch,
and it’ll give seam-less connection between OnePlus device,
including smartphones, audio peripherals, smartwear and smart TVs.
Pete Lau also said that the OnePlus Watch will have a ‘stunning & burdenless design’,
and while the smartwatch is not yet fully reveal, a tweet from the OnePlus official account confirm,
that the Watch will feature a circular dial, which The leak claim yesterday would 46 mm in size.
The CEO of OnePlus further state that the OnePlus Watch will provide a best in class experience at an affordable price point,
although its price remains unknown.
Pete Lau also share a two second video clip on Twitter,
which could a reference to the rumored IP68 water resistance or just something random.
Additionally, Mr. Pete Lau reveal that the Watch will not run Google’s Wear OS,
and will instead come with an RTOS base operating system. Here he said:
While developing the Watch, we try to understand the pain points for the smart watch wearer.
We chose to go with the Smart Wear operating system develop on the basis of RTOS,
cause we accept that it provides you a smooth & dependable evidence, giving you a best battery life,
some of which will address some of our biggest concerns. Listening to those looking to buy a smartwatch.
OnePlus has not yet expand the specs of the Watch,
but has confirm that the smartwatch will feature step counters and a heart rate monitor.
Rumors have state that the Watch will available in Black & Silver colors and it comes with SpO2 sensor,
workout detection, sleep tracking & 4 GB of internal storage.
The smartwatch has tout to come in standard and LTE variants & double as a remote control for the OnePlus TV.
It will also have warp charge technology, which will provide power for 20 minutes a week.
