Bengal Polls 2021 – TMC list of 291 candidates, Mamta will contest from Nandigram
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Friday announce,
the list of Trinamool Congress candidates for 291 out of a total of 294 constituencies.
The remaining three seats of Darjeeling will compete with TMC’s ally Gorkha Janmukti Morcha – GJM.
Mamta release the list saying that 23-24 sitting TMC MLAs have remove due to age and other factors.
Of the 291 candidates, 50 are women and 42 are Muslim.
We are the 1st political party to announce the candidate list.
Today, we are releasing a list of 291 candidates, which includes 50 women, 79 SC, 17 ST and 42 Muslim candidates.
In the 3 seats of North Bengal, we are not contesting our candidates.
In 3 seats – Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Kurseong –
the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha – GJM will contest the elections and whoever will support us announced the TMC supremo.
TMC Supremo said,
We have given assembly elections tickets to celebrities from the fields of art, sports, media and culture.
Announcing that she would contest from Nandigram,
Banerjee said she would file her nomination in Haldia on 10th March.
She is a sitting MLA from Bhowanipore constituency since 2011.
The current MLA of Nandigram is Suvendu Adhikari.
Mamta Banerjee announce,
Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay will contest from Bhowanipore constituency in the upcoming assembly elections,
Further, I will contest from Nandigram as I stand by my words.
Moreover Banerjee said that Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay from Bhowanipore constituency will contest in the upcoming assembly elections.
In addition the West Bengal assembly elections are schedule to held on 29th April,
with voting in eight phases starting on 27th March. Votes will count on 2nd May in the state.
