Google Doodle Celebrates India’s Satellite Man Udupi Ramachandra Rao’s Birthday


Today is the birthday of India’s satellite man Udupi Ramachandra Rao. Google honours him by making doodle on his name.

However, Google made a doodle with the sketch of India’s Famous Scientist Udupi Ramachandra Rao.

In the background, there are shooting stars and the earth around him.

And in the description, Google wrote, “Your stellar technological advancements continue to be felt across the galaxy”

Today is the 89th birthday of Professor Rao. He is also known as “Satellite Man Of India”.

Above all, Mr Rao was an Indian Space scientist and also the chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO).

But, He was born in a remote village of Karnataka in 1932. and He dies in 2017.

Professor Rao was the first Indian who inducted into the satellite hall of fame in the year 2013.

In 2013, PSLV launched India’s first interplanetary mission—“Mangalyaan”.

A satellite “Mangalyan” is orbiting around Mars today.

He supervised India’s first launched satellite “Aryabhata”.
