Maharashtra govt. imposes lockdown from March 15-21 in Nagpur amid rising coronavirus cases
Maharashtra govt. led by Uddhav Thackeray close for a week in Nagpur district on Thursday.
The Lockdown which start from 15 March to 21 March,
has implement in lieu of the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in the district.
Officials said that essential services like vegetables, fruit shops & milk booths would continue to operate normally.
Nagpur Guardian Minister Nitin Raut said,
Full lockdown to impose in Nagpur Police Commissioner area of Nagpur City from 15 – 21 March.
Raut said that essential services will continue in Nagpur district.
The week long lockout announcement comes,
a day after an editorial publish by the Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece Saamana warned of strict restrictions to curb Covid-19 proliferation.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has indicate that,
more districts may go into lockdown as Covid-19 cases have increase in the state in the last few weeks.
On receiving the Covid-19 jab, Thackeray said, in the coming days,
there may some places where lockout is unavoidable. We will take a decision in the next few days.
Maharashtra had register 13659 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday i.e. 10th March.
The highest single day of 2021 in the state. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state is now 2252057.
Meanwhile, in Nagpur district, 1710 fresh cases confirm on Wednesday.
