Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh sends his resignation to CM Udhav Thackrey.
However, He is facing allegations of corruption for many days.
Former Mumbai Police commissioner accused Anil Deshmukh that he told arrested cop Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore every month from various establishments in Mumbai.
Anil Deshmukh posts a copy of the resignation letter on Twitter which is sent to CM Thackrey by him.
But, CM Udhav Thackrey has yet to accept his resignation.
Former Home Minister told in the letter that he doesn’t find it morally correct to continue as the Home Minister of the state after Bombay High Courts order of CBI Investigation on this issue.
On Monday, Bombay high court orders a CBI to inquire against Anil Deshmukh.
Parab Bir Singh files a PIL in Bombay High Court for CBI inquiry against the former Home Minister.
After that, the Bombay High Court observed that there cant be an independent investigation by Mumbai Police which has come under Home Minister.
Former Police commissioner Param Bir Singh accused the Home Minister running an extortion racket in Mumbai.
So, oppositions are also attacking the Maharashtra government.
BJP is pressurising on Home Minister to resign from his post.
