IPL2021, RCB vs SRH: SRH played superb cricket throughout the match but couldn’t finish the match in death overs.
6th match of IPL2021 had been played between Royal Challengers Banglore and Sunrisers Hyderabad at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
However, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and choose to bowl first.
Royal Challengers Banglore Innings:
Team RCB scores 149 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs.
RCB get to a decent start and scores 47 runs in the first 6 overs of power-play but lost the wicket of Devdutt Padikkal.
Captain Virat Kohli scores 33 runs off 29 balls with the help of 4 fours.
Shahbaz Ahmed got out cheaply after scoring just 14 runs after promoting up the order.
But, Glenn Maxwell scores a superb half-century of 59 runs off 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.
This is Maxwell’s first half-century since 2016 in IPL.
Kyle Jamieson played a good cameo of 12 runs later in the innings.
For SRH, Jason Holder took 3 wickets in the match, Rashid Khan also took 2 wickets.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Nadeem and Natarajan also took 1 wicket each in the innings.
So, RCB gives the target of 150 runs to SRH to win the match.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Innings:
Team SRH could not able to chase the target and fell short of just 6 runs.
SRH get to a good start and scores 50 runs in the first 6 overs of power-play but they lost the wicket of Saha on just 13 runs.
Captain David Warner scores 54 runs off 37 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six.
Manish Pandey scores 38 runs off 39 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Rashid Khan played a good cameo of 17 runs off 9 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six.
For RCB, Shahbaz Ahmed took 3 wickets in the match, Kyle Jamieson also took 1 wicket in the innings.
Harshal Patel took 2 wickets and become a purple cap holder in this match.
So, RCB beats SRH by 6 runs and goes top of the table.
Glenn Maxwell becomes the player of the match for his superb half-century.
