On Tuesday, Indian cricket captain shared a post on Instagram regarding the Tokyo Olympics 2021.

He was seen praising the Lovely Professional University -LPU for producing a large number of Olympians.

Sharing a post on Instagram, Kohli wrote, ‘India needs 10 more LPUs.

Greetings to the eleven students of Lovely Professional University,

who are defining India in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

LPU is a private university located in the country’ Punjab state.

University started in the year of 2005 by Lovely International Trust.

In addition, it has been ranked among the ‘Top Six Promising Universities in India’.

Kohli lauded the LPU as a total of 11 LPU students are representing India in the marquee Tokyo Olympics.

Disability athletics Nishad Kumar & Neeraj Chopra a javelin thrower doing B.A., as well as Amoju Jacob doing B.P.Ed.

Meanwhile, their total 7 players who are pursuing MBA includes,

‘Manpreet Singh, Rupinderpal Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Shamsher Singh & Varun Kumar’.

Further, Men’s hockey team members Dilpreet Singh & Mandeep Singh are pursuing their graduation from LPU.

University Chancellor Mr. Ashok Mittal said-

We’re proud that around 10 percent of the Indian Olympic participants are LPU students.
